	Will I be charged anything for my compensation claim? All claims are made on a genuine ‘no win no fee’ basis. If the claim succeeds, we guarantee that you will keep 100% of your damages. Special terms may apply for claims to the motor insurers bureau and for criminal injuries compensation. 	Do I have to use to solicitors appointed by my insurance company? No. You are free to choose whoever you want to represent you.
	How do I keep track of my claim? The appointed solicitors will advise you of developments on a regular basis. If you have any questions or need a progress report you can call Assert at any time during the claims process.
	How long do I have to submit my claim? In most cases 3 years. Children under 18 have until their 21st birthday. Criminal Injuries Compensation is limited to 2 years.
	Do I have to have medical examination? Yes. Independent medical evidence, acceptable to both sides, is required. Appointments are made for your convenience.
	Will I have to go to court? This would be very unlikely. Only a very small percentage of claims ever get that far. Most are settled directly between the appointed solicitors and the third party insurers.
